TO ALL KDBSF MEMBERS:

Your Ride Planning Committee is working on a new and extensive Ride Plan. We want to do more destination rides especially, when the weather turns cooler.

All rides leave the Bagel Factory and Cafe at 9:30 am unless otherwise noted.

Please ensure you arrive with a full tank of fuel and an empty bladder.

Note: The Hot Weather is here! Be sure you hydrate and carry water on your bike!

New or guest riders will be required to sign a waiver before your ride.

All riders and/or passengers are encouraged to wear a DOT approved helmet.

Cars that participate should have the destination address with them for their GPS, etc. in case they get separated from the group.

If no Road Captain is available--the ride is not a sanctioned club ride, but members who meet at Bagel Factory and Cafe are welcome to ride on their own.

In the event of rain prior to the ride, the ride will be cancelled.  A text message will be sent to all who normally ride.

Mileage: 73.6 Miles (one-way) approximate ride time: 1 hour/12 minutes.
The ride route will take us via the Florida Turnpike to the Ronald Reagan Turnpike to Cutler Bay.
Leave: Bagel Factory and Cafe, 21065 S. Powerline Road, Boca Raton, FL at 1000 (KSU).  We will use the FL Turnpike to FL-989 N/SW 112th Ave/S Allapattah Road to Princeton. Take exit 9B from Ronald Reagan Turnpike.

01/20/2019 KDBSF Buzz Marcus Barbecue, Sugar Sand Park, Boca Raton, FL 12 Noon to 4 pm.
Location: Sugar Sand Park, Pavilion 2, 300 S. Military Trail, Boca Raton, FL 33486, 12 Noon to 4 pm. KDBSF members are free and guests are $20.00 per person. Please contact Lola, KDBSF Social Director at (954)242-3017 or email: lavidalola33@gmail.com before January 15, 2019 if you plan to attend. If you have already contacted her, you do not need to recontact her. We will need a headcount to ensure we have sufficient food and refreshments for the picnic. We are also looking for volunteers for setup and cleanup so, please let Lola know.

02/03/2019 KDBSF Rider's Ride to Alva Diner, Alva, FL

Mileage: 145 miles (one-way). Approximate ride time: 2 hours/45 minutes.
The is our annual Rider's Ride! The ride route will take us via back roads to the Alva Diner, Alva, FL. 
The actual ride route will be attached on the email sent to all club members. 
All Riders must arrive at the Staging Locations, either 1 or 2 with a FULL-TANK of fuel!!!!

02/10/2019 Mishloach Manot: Purim Package Packing Mitzvah Ride to Aleph Institute, Surfside, FL

Mileage: 39.1 miles (one-way).
Route: This Annual Mitzvah Ride will depart the Bagel Factory and Cafe, Boca Raton. Members of JWV Post 338 may join us at the Aleph Institute to assist in packing the Purim Bags. Please ensure you wear your KDBSF shirts, hats, and/or colors.  We will leave approximately 0900 am and ride to the Aleph Institute via I-95 and arrive approximately 1000 am. Once we park, we will begin packing the bags and should complete them approximately 1230 pm. Please do not bring any weapons because we have to go through a metal detector prior to entering the Aleph Institute. There are numerous places to eat around the Aleph Institute that you may desire to eat lunch.
WX Plan: As always, we will be monitoring the WX forecast. If it is raining we will not ride our bikes, but travel by car to the Aleph Institute. We will txt you if the motorcycle component of the ride is canceled.

02/17/2019 KDBSF Ride to Manatee Lagoon and Johnny Longboats, Rivera Beach, FL

Mileage: 37.0 Miles to Manatee Lagoon; 3.1 Miles to Johnny Longboats.
We will be leaving the Bagel Factory and Cafe, 21065 S. Powerline Road, Boca Raton, FL (KSU) at approximately 
0930 am.
Ride Route: Bagel Factory and Cafe to Florida Turnpike (N) to Exit 97 (Southern Blvd) to West Palm Beach
to Australian Avenue/South Congress Avenue toward Palm Beach/International Airport. Turn right on 25th Street. Turn
left onto Broadway Avenue. Turn right onto 58th Street. Turn left onto N. Flagler Drive/Poinsettia Avenue. Then turn right and destination is on the right

Route: We rode to Nick's 50's Diner in January 2018 and everyone raved about the customer service and food! Please visit their website at: www.nicks50diner.com. Leave Bagel Factory and Cafe at approximately 0930 am (KSU). Turn right on Powerline Road to Palmetto Park Road. Turn right on US 441 N. Continue on US 441 N and turn right on Okeechobee Blvd to Nick's 50's Diner in the Palm Beach Marketplace Plaza on the right.

Use left 2 lanes to turn onto US-1 N. Turn right on SW Joan Jefferson Way. At the traffic circle, take the 3rd exit onto SW St Lucie Avenue. Turn left toward SW Flagler Ave. Turn right on SW Flagler Ave and destination is on the right.

03/17/2019 KDBSF Lunch Ride to Grampa's Bakery and Restaurant, Dania Beach, FL
Address: 17 SW 1st Street, Dania Beach, FL 33044 Telephone: (954)923-2163.
Route: Bagel Factory and Cafe (KSU: 0930 am) to either FL Turnpike, I-95, or backroads to Grampa's. Suggested ride route will be attached to a KDBSF email notification. The Road Captain (Lead) can vary the route as the WX and road conditions permit.  Grampa's is a great restaurant who provides their famous Coffee Cake when you are seated. Also, Jaxson's Famous Ice Cream Parlor is across the street from Grampa's.

03/24/2019 KDBSF Overnight Ride to Pastrami Dan's, Naples, FL
Address: 586 Tamiani Trail N., Naples, FL 34102, Telephone: (239)263-3431.
Route: Bagel Factory and Cafe to US 27 and 41W. Return on Monday, March 25, 2019 via I-75. The ride time to Naples is approximately 3.5 hours and the return ride via I-75 is approximately 1.5 hours.
